Nearing the End - Years of Work on a Book

I am so much enjoying the process of bringing my book into a polished, published book. I'm meeting so many interesting people. Some are colleagues, some in the book world and some are important to the process in other ways.

There is so much to learn related to the writing process, the editing, formatting, how to market a book, where to market etc. This final stretch has been a long one. It has taken hours of writing, learning, re-writing, editing, crafting and more. All I can say is that it is a totally cathartic experience and I am eager to see the book finally come to print.

So ... we have reached the final, final stage. Working with "Word" is quite a challenge to say the least. The amount of times a blank page is inserted where one is not wanted or needed, headers and footers go out. Oh dear. Thank G-d for having a computer savvy husband. I never would have managed to reach this point without him.

Well, 222 pages later, our book is ready for the cover to be designed. I guess I'll be cutting this post short as I am yearning to complete the cover. I have lots of ideas and am so looking forward to seeing the final book completed, published and in a book format through and through.

Stay tuned for the next installment of my book. Perhaps the next post will include when the book will be available. I certainly hope so, this has taken long enough.

In the meantime, if you have a blog and are interested and willing to do a review about a book about occupational therapy, please do be in touch. I'll be needing reviews both on blogs and on Amazon. So if you have written a review for another book, please send me a copy of the review and where you are able to post a review. Planning the next phase is on the go!
